They representatives did their best acting after the hearings but the looks on their faces told the tale of woe that they are experiencing.
The Mueller hearings were an unmitigated disaster for them and even liberal punditslike Juan Williams and Chris Wallace said it.
But they stood in front of the American citizens, reporters and the world and pretended that the hearings were a success.
At one time during the press conference on Wednesday, that followed President Donald Trump speaking to reporters, Rep. Cummings begged Americans to believe their Russia hoax.
“This is not about not liking the president. It’s about loving democracy. It’s about loving our country. It’s about making a difference for generations.
“That’s what this is all about. I’m begging, I’m begging the American people to pay attention to what is going on,” he said.

And as MSNBC reporter Katie Hunt said, Speaker Rep. Pelosi has not moved an inch on her decision not to impeach the president.
“I asked @SpeakerPelosi if Mueller’s testimony had changed her view on whether to launch impeachment proceedings .
“’We still have outstanding matters in the courts,’ she says Translation: Status quo. No move to impeach,” hunt said.

To give them credit, it is not a simple thing to have your narrative crushed and have the entire world witness it and then pretend that you won.
